Can I camp next to my car?
Yes - providing September is dry enough it will be possible to drive to most parts of the camping field.
Can I bring a camper van?
Yes - though the smaller, van-sized vehicles will be better. Larger bus-scale mobile homes will struggle to access the farm on small rural lanes. There is limited hard standing for vans, so most will be in the camping field. There will be a tractor on standby in case the field is wet!
Will there be food to buy?
Yes! Erika from Moveable Feasts will be there, back by popular demand, with delicious home-made food. Menu may include tamale pie, beef or veggie... bean wraps... mushroom empanadas... chilli... burgers.... bacon 'n' beans stew with corn fritters... brownies, apple pie... Breakfasts, too, and afternoon coffee, tea and home-made cakes... |
And drink? The Bar will be serving Bitter and Golden Ale from our local (three miles away) Greyhound Brewery - as well as cider and other delicious refreshment. |
Can I bring my dog?
Yes - we welcome well-behaved dogs but ask that their owners do not let them wander (this is a working farm) and ‘clean up' after them. They are not allowed in to the house.
Can I arrive early?
No, the campsite opens at 3.00pm on Friday. Please do not arrive earlier, as you will need to wait outside til we are ready! (The exception to this is stewards, whom we would like to arrive early if at all possible.)
Can I stay later than 4.00pm on Sunday?
Yes - but you may get roped into helping us clear up!
Can I pay for merchandise and beer by card?
Yes...we think so! We are trying out a card machine this year and hope all will go well, though of course cash is always safest.
Will there be somewhere under cover for sessions in case it’s wet?
Yes. there are several spaces ideal for getting together. The cafe area has a roof (although open on one side to the elements). The dance tent can be used for jamming and flatfooting when not in use as a performance space. The barn itself will be available after the concerts have finished. The bar area - well why not? - but not during concerts, please!
Can we jam all night?
Yes - but please have consideration for other festival goers so avoid the campsite after 11.00pm. The most soundproof space for really late/early sessions is the barn.
Can I light a fire?
No fires on the campsite. Barbecues/ braziers must be kept off the grass and supervised at all times.
There will be a communal fire pit in the yard near the cafe for a bit of warmth in the evenings.
Do you need any help?
How kind of you to ask! Yes, we discovered last year that we really did, and people have already volunteered to help this year but we could do with more. If you'd be willing to put in an hour or two (in exchange for beer token) on reception, directing folks to camping area, or helping behind the bar, please do email us. We'll be sending out info and organising helpers soon.
